10+ Pictures that will convince you to travel to Slovenia next

Slovenia just stole my heart. I think I will have to come back here every year! Today I wanted to share the pictures of my last short trip to the Triglav national park with you. If you are interested in more information, have a look at my other posts about this amazing country: Discover Ljubljana in 24 hours, 7 reasons to visit Slovenia’s most beautiful national park now, Slovenia’s two paradise lakes
But pictures say more than thousand words, so here we go: The first pics were taken in the Zelenci nature reserve.
We continue our journey and drive over highest mountain pass in Slovenia, the “Vršič pass”. Enjoy a nice Union beer on your way up or down. The views are amazing and if you are lucky you can meet the sheep herds that roam freely here. The sheep show no fear at all, you can pet them and take nice pictures. They also loved our car as you will see.
After arriving on the other side in Trenta, we continued our journey by driving along the beautiful Soča valley. On our way we passed a few waterfalls like Boka and Virje. Definitely have a swim by the Virje waterfall, even if the water is really icy!
Here we are on another waterfall hike in the north of Triglav. Again, crystal clear water and amazing views. Free roaming cows that will come to you to snuggle (and lick you in the face 😉
The next pictures are from lake Bled and lake Bohinj. I already shared a few the last time I’ve been there, but I just can’t get enough of this stunning scenery! Bohinj is still one of my favorite places on earth, especially in autumn, when there are nearly no tourists. For more information about the lakes, click here.
