The “Müllerthal” is also called the small Swiss of Luxembourg. The region gets this name because of its rocky landscape. There are no real mountains, but tons of hills and rocks in the forests, it looks absolutely beautiful! The region is near the town of Echternach, which is definitely also worth a visit. You can find lots of different hikes here, there is also the “Müllerthal-Trail”, which is 112km long and can be gone in 3 stages. Today we chose the hike “E1”, which I find one of the best because you see most of the nice places, like the wolf-canyon, the small Amphitheater of Berdorf, the town of Echternach and lots of the typical landscapes. The hike is 12km long and you should definitely wear good shoes because the way is often uneven and there are lots of stone-stairs which can be slippery. But you will be rewarded with amazing views 🙂
